So, I really need to post more....
Anyways, Afest was awesome. I felt much love from all of the moogle fans who wanted to poke my lil red poof to save. (I should prolly post pictures of myself...)
Friday: For the most part, it was us running around artist alley until the opening ceremonies and Masquerade. I really didn't expect much attention, as I was simply wearing my Tripp pants and matching shirt with my moogle hat. I could attribute some of that attention to the fact that I was hanging out with a Russia and a Painted Lady, but I got just as much attention when I was alone. I couldn't go five feet without hearing the word 'Moogle' and every so often someone would come up to me wanting to poke my poof. Other than that, it wasn't a very eventful night.
Saturday: Now Saturday was active. My buddy Daniel got to round two of the Ani-Idol competition, and I met several other Yui's. We explored the whole place, and dropped in on a Final Fantasy photo shoot, as well as a Hetalia one. I also met a really awesome artist,

, who's the artist for the webcomic 'Alembic Grimoire'. The people at his booth were super nice, especially when I wanted him to draw one of my characters. I'll have to find a way to show you guys that drawing. X3
We did a lot of exploring the dealer's room. My sister got a plushie of her beloved Alphonse Elric, and I got a few things here and there (including a FF potion bottle :3). Mostly I scoped out the place for stuff I wanted my dad and my uncle to buy for me the next day.
I met back up with several cosplay buddies of mine, including

and

, and my Mio buddy from Akon. I also got tons of footage for my video journal that will be going up on Youtube as soon as I get it all edited. I even got a video interview with

and

, and several other cosplayers.
Sunday: I got there late cause I wanted to spend time with my church family on my birthday. Unfortunately, I missed Daniel's performance in the Ani-Idol finals, a performance that won him the contest, by the way.
I got much love for my birthday. You'd be surprised how many people don't know that a dollar on the shirt means it's your birthday, though. In any case, my dad and my uncle took turns walking me through the dealer's room. My dad got me a Mokona Backpack, a moogle t-shirt, and some sweets (Pocky and Konpeito). Then my uncle took me.
Before we could do anything, though, a group of FFVI cosplayers kidnapped me for a mini-photo-shoot. Unfortunately, their Kefka turned out to be the Seifer who co-hosted the Masquerade on Friday, and let's just say he didn't enjoy my calling him a chickenwuss as much as Kuro-Arashi did. Several of the pictures taken prolly include me cowering in order to keep him from raping my poof.

However, the shoot was fun over all, and I look forward to Sarah getting me those pics sometime soon.
I am so glad this part happened after my dad left. I got asked out on my first date by a dear friend of mine. I, initally accepted one date to test it out, but after thinking about it I had to turn him down. I just don't think I'm mentally prepared for dating. But he took it pretty well and we're still friends. Who knows, maybe we'll get together sometime in the future. *shrugs*
Kuro (

) and I spent the last five or six hours of the day hanging out with the gang at PTME in the very back game room of the con. Their Lucid Gaming system amuses me so much more than D&D, to be sure, though it does help that the people who play are freakin hilarious. They got all surprised when I told them I'd built a Runesmith on my own. It's one of their more under-developed classes, you see, and so most people can't make heads or tails of it. I played as that character for a super awesome game of the Dreaming with Kuro and a buncha other people, and it turned out so awesomely that Casses (our GM and one of the creators of the game) and everyone else wants to continue it. I'm all for that.

Monday: Monday was not nearly so fun, believe me. It was just me and Ookami, and she ran off with her Hetalia cosplay buddies while I returned to the game roon to try my hand at PTME's Legacy Crossing. After I had almost finished my character, I got a text saying that the others wouldn't return in time to clean out the room before check out. So, since I couldn't find Ookami, I went to Guest Services to see if I could get someone to help. Well, it was a half an hour wait and when Ookami's mom heard about it...*heaves a deep sigh* Let's just say, I am not her child and I'm pretty miffed that she would give me so much crap for a situation I couldn't control.
So, I went up to try and clean out the room myself. I got about one-third of the luggage in one go, and that's when Ookami and the rest re-appeared. I nearly broke out in tears for the joy of getting some help. And when we were all done, Ookami gave me a Mini-Yui keychain for my birthday.

Once all of the room crap was done with, I went back up to the game room and played LC until it was time to go.

Afterwards: All in all, I had a great time. Sure there were a few emotional moments, like getting asked out and Ookami's mom yelling at me, but I'm not one to dwell on the past. I still prefer Afest to Akon by far. Unfortunately for me, it didn't like me. I caught some sorta cold from the con and though I went to school on Tuesday, I've been absent for the past two days (wednesday and thursday). Thankfully, I'm pretty much better, so I'll be returning to school tomorrow.
All's well that ends well. ^-^ I definitely had a great birthday.
((P.S. I've been roped into a Ukraine (APH) cosplay for Akon, so be looking for me and my buddies as Russia, Prussia, Belarus, and Ukraine come Akon.

))
